- I'd take it back to the shop & swap it for a SCSI version. Reasoning:

- version while the SCSI version's available

- performance isn't as good [1] as the SCSI version (rates escape me)

- 3) You can then pillage things from Macs and Unix boxes as well

- you'll need a SCSI for your 1200 and IBM (worth the $$$ IMHO)
