  22. I'd take it back to the shop & swap it for a SCSI version. Reasoning:

  24. 1)    I doubt anyone will ever bother writing a driver for the parallel
  25.     version while the SCSI version's available
  26.  
  27. 2)    My friend was evaluating the parallel version for work and the
  28.     performance isn't as good [1] as the SCSI version (rates escape me)
  29.  
  30. 3)    You can then pillage things from Macs and Unix boxes as well
  31.  
  32. I'd just tell the store owner you got the wrong version by mistake.  Oh yeah,
  33. you'll need a SCSI for your 1200 and IBM (worth the $$$ IMHO)
